Successful Clients

One of the benefits for our clients is that we have a solid grasp on many technologies, having worked with some of the world’s leading technology companies such as Apple, Compaq, HP, IBM Cognos, Oracle, Microsoft and Compuware. We have helped companies in the ecosystem of the aforementioned, including resellers, technology partners, and customers bring products and services to market. We have worked with hundreds of customers as well and have deep expertise in how IT customers buy, why they buy, and what they expect from their vendors.

The marketing strategies we have helped our clients deploy are vast and include thought leadership, webinars, PR, product marketing, events, and blogging.

Here is a sampling of the projects we have worked on:

Microsoft Dynamics ERP and CRM Vertical Marketing

We have helped Microsoft and its partners market and sell its Dynamics product line for the past decade into many new vertical markets, such as government contracting, not-for-profit, retail, distribution, and manufacturing. We have worked with dozens of Microsoft partners to help them develop strong selling processes and go-to-market strategies. One of the critical ways has been to help these partners develop vertical approaches into markets that need the solutions and that the company can bring true value.

One of our favorite clients has been Pleasant Valley Business Solutions (PVBS). We’ve worked with PVBS over the years to help them develop into the top Microsoft business solution provider in the world for the government contractor market. We’ve worked with PVBS to produce market demand activities such as webinars, newsletters, email campaigns and live events, as well as PR, product launch and sales acceleration activities. Check out the long list of critical webinars we’ve produced for PVBS here.

Thought Leadership for Protective Services Firm

The Protective Services Training Academy (PSTA) was created to become the nation’s leading training facility for law enforcement, protective services professionals, and military professionals. In addition to creating the new branding and marketing strategy for the PSTA, its leadership wanted to position it as the leading protective services venue in the country. We developed a thought leadership and content market program called, Protective Services Leadership Insights, that provided tips on products, careers, and management strategies for protective services companies.

Content Marketing to Show Retail Thought Leadership

Microsoft wanted to sell more licenses of its Dynamics AX for Retail solution and asked DSM for some suggestions on how to raise the profile of its top partners in the market. We developed an industry leading content marketing program called What’s Next Retail that combined blogs, podcasts, and public relations all designed to demonstrate thought leadership from the partners to their retailer prospects. The program resulted in dozens of press inquiries and SEO improvements.

Outsourced IVR and Call Center Technology Leader

We helped the company that took outsourced IVR services to the next level, Contact Solutions, expand their marketing exposure. Our understanding of call/contact center technology was invaluable as we helped the firm develop its brand identity, marketing programs, and competitive positioning.

IT Product Value Added Reselling

DSM has developed world-class sales and marketing plans for two of the top computer manufacturers of all time – Apple and Compaq. We understand the entire supply chain throughout the channel and have helped growing and successful product resellers develop well-rounded programs to grow their product and service line offerings. In fact, Ingram Micro tapped us to offer this assistance to their customer base as part of the Government-Education Alliance. In this role, we offered counsel to hundreds of product resellers on marketing strategies to expand their customer penetration. We also helped the industry’s second largest direct-to-market reseller, GovConnection, a division of PC Connection, to grow its business back after losing its GSA schedule.
